The Wild have sent goaltender Jesper Wallstedt to Iowa and have recalled Daemon Hunt.

Wild take the ice for training camp.

ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild announced on Thursday that they have sent goaltender Jesper Wallstedt to the American Hockey League (AHL) and have recalled defenseman Daemon Hunt from the Iowa Wild.

Hunt, 22, appeared in 12 games for the Wild during the 2023-24 season. He recorded one assist and 17 blocked shots. He also played 51 games for Iowa last year.

He notched a career high all categories while leading the team in points and assists as a defenseman with three goals, 26 assists, and 29 points.

Wallstedt, 21, has been with the Wild the whole training camp and has earned an opening night roster spot.

Him being sent down to Iowa was a paper transaction as Declan Chisholm is unavailable to play for the Wild on Thursday because of a sickness.
