The Wild have sent Liam Ohgren back to Iowa.
ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Wild (17-4-4) made a lot of roster moves on Tuesday. They placed Mats Zuccarello on the Long-Term Injury Reserve list and placed both Jonas Brodin and Jakub Lauko on the Injured List.
They recalled Liam Ohgren or Jesper Wallstedt from the American Hockey League (AHL) in a corresponding move. Both were cap gymnastics type of moves.
On Wednesday the Wild sent Ohgren and Wallstedt back down to the AHL. The roster move brings the Wild back down below the cap ceiling but doesn’t change the LTIR capture.
Eriksson Ek got hurt in Tuesday's game so they will likely recall a forward tonight if they need to. That could be Ohgren or another Wild forward. Lauko also is close to returning so he could be that forward.
