    The Iowa Wild announced today they have signed forward Matthew Sop to an AHL Contract.

    Iowa Wild General Manager Matt Hendricks announced today that the Wild have signed forward Matthew Sop to a one-year, one-way AHL contract. 

    Sop, 21, recorded 43 goals, 47 assists, and 90 points in 67 games with the Kitchener Rangers in the OHL during the 2023-24 season. 

    The 6-foot forward received the Leo Lalonde Trophy as the OHL’s Overage Player of the Year following his 90 point season. In five years in the OHL, Sop has recorded 76 goals, 93 assists, and 169 points in 203 games.
