ST. PAUL - Minnesota Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin announced Sunday the team has reduced their training camp roster to 39 players.
It comes as expected that the Wild would trim their training camp roster. This will likely be the first wave of cuts.
The Wild assigned Hunter Haight, Pavel Novak, Sammy Walker, Jack Peart, and Kyle Masters to the AHL with the Iowa Wild.
Minnesota also placed Joseph Cecconi, Cameron Crotty, and Adam Raska on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Iowa. They have also assigned defenseman Stevie Leskovar to the Brampton Steelheads of the OHL.
They also have released Ryan Sandelin and William Rousseau from their professional tryouts. But they will report to the Iowa Wild's training camp which begins on Monday.
The Wild host the Dallas Stars tonight at 5:00 p.m.
