ST. PAUL - Minnesota Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin announced Sunday the team has reduced its training camp roster to 50 players.
Three of the Wild's prospects will head back to the Western Hockey League (WHL) for the upcoming season. Both Kalem Parker and Ryder Ritchie played in the Wild's preseason game against the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday. They have been sent back to their respective teams in the WHL.
Goaltender Chase Wutzke has also been sent back to the WHL with the Red Deer Rebels.
The Wild also released forwards Gavin Hain and Matthew Sop, defenseman Will Zmolek, and goaltender Kyle McClellan from their professional tryouts. All four of them will report to Iowa Wild's training camp.
