The 4 Nations Face-Off ended with an overtime game-winning goal by Canada's Connor McDavid in the Championship game over USA.

On Thursday, and the whole tournament, the World got to see how good Wild defenseman Brock Faber really is.

Faber, 22, was the youngest player in the tournament's final game. Leo Carlsson (20) was on team Sweden but only played in one game.

During Thursday's championship game vs Canada, the USA defenseman led the entire game in ice time with 28:50. He and Jaccob Slavin shut down every rush and chance that they had against them.

All three Canada goals were scored with Faber on the bench. He finished the tournament as a plus-3. He had two assists in four games as well which was second in the whole tournament for defensemen behind teammate Zach Werenski.

Faber started to get some love from the broadcast and people on social media for his defensive plays. In overtime, McDavid came in alone on Faber on a 1-on-1. Faber calmly matched McDavid's speed and broke up the play.

USA head coach Mike Sullivan was impressed with Faber's play.

Just seconds later, McDavid came in again all alone on Faber, and the American stud broke it up.

But just eight minutes later, USA couldn't contain McDavid for a third time. He broke free from Auston Matthews and Adam Fox and scored the overtime winner.

USA couldn't get Faber or Slavin on the ice after the icing and Canada capitalized.

Nonetheless, Faber shined during the tournament. He broke up too many rushes and scoring chances to count and finished third in points among defenders in the tournament.

Only Canada's Devon Toews played more minutes than Faber did in the entire tournament.
