ST. PAUL - Minnesota Wild head coach John Hynes said this morning that the Wild are hopeful that Kirill Kaprizov and Joel Eriksson Ek will return tonight.

Eriksson Ek, 28, has played in 42 games this year for the Wild. They are 27-12-3 with him in the lineup and are 15-17-4 without him in the lineup.

In his 42 games, Eriksson Ek has recorded nine goals and 24 points in 42 games this year.

Kaprizov, 27, has missed the last 28 games for the Wild. In 37 games this year, the superstar forward has recorded 23 goals, 29 assists and 52 points.

The Wild will likely send down forwards Brendan Gaunce and Devin Shore. They will also send down defenseman Cameron Crotty to activate the two. The three of them were not on the ice for morning skate.

Minnesota hosts the San Jose Sharks tonight before going on the road for a back-to-back on Friday and Saturday in Canada.
