The Minnesota Wild have faced some adversity at times this season. They have been without top players like Jonas Brodin, Joel Eriksson Ek, Mats Zuccarello, and Jake Middleton for long stretches of the season.
Kirill Kaprizov missed one game earlier in the year as well but now he has missed the last four games with a lower-body injury and currently is on the Injured Reserve (IR).
Forward Jakub Lauko dealt with a lower-body injury earlier this season and when he came back into the lineup he only played in three games before he aggravated the same injury again.
This is why the Wild are going to be careful with Kaprizov's lower-body injury. The 5-foot-11 forward has missed the last four games due to his injury but the Wild are 3-1-0 in that span.
Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Bill Guerin said to the traveling media on Thursday in Washington that Kaprizov is still listed as day-to-day. He will not play against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday and hasn't resumed skating yet either.
