Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury was honored in the game against the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday.

Wild goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury was born in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, about an hour north of Montreal. Thursday's game was Fleury's final game in Montreal.

There was no doubt he would be honored during the game and he was.

The last time Fleury was in Montreal he received a standing ovation after the Wild's 5-2 win in October of 2023. He was the first star of the game.

On Thursday, Fluery said he would have over 100 family members and friends at the Bell Centre. Not only that but there were many Fleury fans in attendance cheering him on.

Fleury, 40, finished the game with a 19-save shutout. How fitting it was. With the shutout, Fleury has set an NHL record for the first goaltender to record a shutout as a teenager and at 40 years old.

After the game, Canadiens players and coaching staff all went down a line and congratulated the Wild goaltender.
