The fourth Wild player to officially be announced as someone to play in the 2024 World Championships is Marco Rossi.
The other three Wild players are Matt Boldy for USA, Mats Zuccarello for Norway, and David Spacek for Czechia. There was a thought Brock Faber could, but the Wild announced he had been playing the last two months with fractured ribs and will not join Team USA.
Rossi, 22, is coming off a great first full season in the NHL with the Wild. He was a Bill Masterton nominee and could make the All-Rookie team this year. Rossi was one of two players for the Wild who played in all 82 games.
He recorded 21 goals on 167 shots, 19 assists, and 40 points for Minnesota. He ranked second in goals during the regular season amongst rookies, just one goal behind Connor Bedard for the league lead. Rossi was fourth in points as well.
Rossi was the only Austrian player to play in the NHL this year.
