The former Wild forward scored his first goal with his new team last night in a 5-2 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.
Parise, 39, has played three games this season for the Avalanche and has one goal for one point. Colorado is 0-2-1 in those three games.
This is the second time all season that the Avalanche have lost three games in a row. They will continue on their road trip before returning home for what will be Parise's first home game with the Avs on February 18th against the Arizona Coyotes.
With the goal last night, Parise now moves into 8th all-time amongst U.S.-born NHL players in goals for 430. The guy he just passed was Bill Guerin, the current General Manager of the Minnesota Wild.
