The 25-year-old goaltender earned the victory last night over the Edmonton Oilers in career game number 100.

The Wild acquired Filip Gustavsson from the Ottawa Senators in the offseason of last year. It was a one-for-one deal that sent goaltender Cam Talbot the other way.

Gustavsson broke in as the backup to Marc-Andre Fleury but eventually showed and proved himself as a future No. 1 goaltender and ended up as the Wild's starter for the playoffs.

Last season Gustavsson went 22-9-7 with a .931 save percentage and a 2.10 goals-against-average. His save percentage and GAA ranked second in the NHL behind the Vezina Winner Linus Ullmark. He was so good that he earned himself a three-year contract.

This season Gustavsson has struggled. He opened the season with a 41 save shutout but then carried a 4.00 goals-against-average for the next ten games. But since the coaching change, Gustavsson has been good. The 6-foot-2 goaltender is 14-7-1 with a .904 save percentage and a 2.90 goals-against-average under John Hynes.

In 100 career games, Gustavsson is 48-35-13 with a .912 save percentage, a 2.75 goals-against-average, and five shutouts. He has started 93 of those 100 career games.
