In the Wild's game last night, Jesper Wallstedt became the youngest goalie in Wild history to record a shutout.

At age 21, Jesper Wallstedt became the youngest goalie in Minnesota Wild Franchise History to earn a shutout. He picked up the shutout in his second ever start. Wallstedt also became the 16th youngest goaltender in NHL history to record a shutout.
The 6-foot-3 goaltender is now the fifth different rookie goaltender in Wild history to post a shutout and first since Kaapo Kahkonen who recorded a 31 save shutout on March 16, 2021.
He join Josh Harding (who did it three times), Darcy Kuemper (two times), Kahkonen (two times), and Anton Khudobin (one time) as the five goalies in Wild history to record a shutout in their rookie season.
Among rookie goaltenders to debut with the franchise, Wallstedt is the second to record his first career shutout in two appearances or fewer. Harding did it during the 2005-06 season.
