Joel Eriksson Ek's previous career high in goals was 26 which he accomplished during the 2021-22 season. He also recorded a career high in assists and points that season as well and had career seasons ever since.
The 6-foot-3 center set a career high in assists last year with 38 and in points with 61. This year in just 56 games, Eriksson Ek has 28 goals and 52 points. His 28 goals is already a career high and there are 26 games left in the season.
Eriksson Ek, 27, is currently on pace for 41 goals, 35 assists, and 76 points in 82 games. He is on pace to pass his career high in goals by 15 and his career high in points by 15.
In the last two seasons Eriksson Ek has recorded 12 power-play goals and is currently sitting at 12 this year. If he keeps this monster season up, Eriksson Ek would be on pace for 17 power-play goals which would tie Kirill Kaprizov's All-Time record for most power play goals in a single season.
The former first-round pick back in the 2015 draft would become the fifth player in Wild history to have a 40 goal season. Kaprizov has done it twice (2021-22 & 2022-23), Marian Gaborik once (2007-2008), and Eric Staal once (2017-2018).
If Eriksson Ek reaches 75 or more points, which he's on pace for, he would become the eighth player in Wild history to have 75 plus points in a single season joining Kaprizov's 108 in 2021-2022, Kevin Fiala's 85 in 2021-2022, Gaborik's 83 in 2007-2008, Brian Rolston's 79 in 2005-2006, Mats Zuccarello's 79 in 2021-2022, Staal's 76 in 2017-2018, and Kaprizov's 75 in 2022-2023.
