The 5-foot-10 forward has scored 20 or more goals in a single season twice in his career, both were with the Wild. His best season was 2016-17 when he recorded 26 goals, 43 assists, and 69 points in 81 games. He had 21 goals, 46 assists, and 67 points the following season in 77 games. Granlund went on to play one more full season with the Wild before he was traded to the Nashville Predators for Kevin Fiala. In his seven seasons in Minnesota, Granlund recorded 93 goals, 224 assists, and 317 points in 461 games. He spent five years in Nashville before he was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Granlund recorded 51 goals, 111 assists, and 162 points in 268 games for the Predators. He struggled with Pittsburgh following the trade and was eventually traded to San Jose in the Erik Karlsson deal. His first season with the Sharks was a success.
