Shortly after announcing four players placed on waivers, the Montreal Canadiens released a list of 26 additional players who have been sent to the AHL or CHL.

After the news was announced earlier on Saturday that four Montreal Canadiens players had been placed on waivers, for the purpose of sending them to the Laval Rocket (AHL), the team announced the release of 26 additional players from the training camp roster.

Among them was forward Owen Beck, the only player of the group returned to a junior team in the OHL, the Peterborough Petes. The 19-year-old second-round draft pick was one of a handful of young prospects hoping to secure one of the few open forward spots on the Canadiens' 2023-24 roster.

For the rest of the group, 14 forwards, eight defenseman, and three goaltenders were all reassigned to the Rocket:

Laval's training camp is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 2nd.
