LSHL Commissioner Zachary Fucale posted an Instagram story on Thursday, which featured the mention of a showdown on July 12th at 18:00 and features a picture of Montreal Canadiens rookie sensation Ian Demidov.

Fucale already mentioned a few weeks ago on La Poche Bleue that Demidov would be participating in the Living Sisu 3-on-3 league this Summer, so it wouldn’t be overly surprising to see him take part in promotional activities as well. Appearing on Salut Bonjour this morning, Fucale explained that on July 12-13, the Make your Move tournament would be held, it's a shootout tournament, hence the name. In the evening of July 12, Demidov will be one of the stars taking part in the showdown. This event will take place in Boisbriand at the Centre d'Excellence Sports Rousseau. Tickets are on sale here.

The LSHL is set to kick off on July 7 with the women’s league and on July 8 with the men’s league. The rosters have yet to be revealed, but the tickets are now on sale on the website. There will be seven weeks of action, with the league wrapping up its activities on August 18 and 19.

The website also mentions that fans will be able to stream the games on the La Poche Bleue network across multiple platforms. The 2024 games have now all been uploaded to the website, allowing you to take a peek at the kind of action you may see this Summer.

Tickets for the two games, featured every night, cost $12.50, with all profits supporting the Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation. In the dead of Summer, this is a fun activity for fans needing their hockey fix, and it’s also family-friendly.

Don’t expect to see bone-crushing hits; the players use the league as a means to get in shape for the upcoming season, and no one wants to get injured. The 3-on-3 format makes it challenging for the goaltenders to shine, but there’s plenty of spectacular play.

The games are held at Hockey etc. in Montreal, located at 5920 Chemin de la Côte-de-Liesse, Ville Mont-Royal, QC H4T 1C9.
