On Saturday, August 16, Montreal Canadiens goaltender Samuel Montembeault got married to his girlfriend of seven years, Daryanne Ayotte. They met at the Festival du Blé d’Inde in St-Celestin in 2018, and while she initially had reservations about dating a hockey player, she eventually agreed. This weekend, the couple took the plunge and said yes to spending their life together.
According to the Instagram post, Emma Fortin, Brendan Gallagher’s wife, was one of Ayotte’s bridesmaids, and the reception was held at the Four Seasons hotel in Montreal. The couple are big dog lovers, and their dogs, Gigi and Gucci, were also dressed for the occasion, wearing their Sunday best and attending the reception.

Not many pictures have surfaced so far, but one of them shows Gallager. David Savard (who looks like the life of the party) Alexandre Carrier, Rafael Harvey-Pinard, Jonathan Drouin and Mike Matheson are sporting huge smiles in a photobooth session.
It’s been a busy wedding season for the Canadiens; many Habs attended Joel Edmundson’s wedding in the UK, while some also headed to Florida for Patrik Laine’s big day, and pretty much everyone, including former Canadiens, made it to Montreal for captain Nick Suzuki’s wedding.
Montembeault’s wedding was the last on the calendar year, and now that it’s been done, it feels like hockey season is coming at us fast. The Canadiens’ rookie camp will start around September 11, with the Prospect Showdown scheduled to take place the following weekend.
