Team USA has announced that 44 players will be attending their 2026 Olympic orientation camp. One of those players is a member of the Montreal Canadiens, as star winger Cole Caufield has been invited to attend.

When noting that Caufield is coming off another strong season, it is understandable that he has been invited to attend Team USA's Olympic orientation camp. The 24-year-old forward was a major difference-maker for the Habs in 2024-25, setting new career highs with 37 goals and 70 points in 82 games. This was after he recorded previous career highs with 28 goals and 65 points in 82 games for Montreal in 2023-24.

In 287 career NHL games with the Canadiens, Caufield has recorded 118 goals, 101 assists, and 219 points. The 2019 first-round pick is only continuing to get better with each season that passes, and he now has the opportunity to try to earn a spot on Team USA's Olympic roster because of it.

However, while Caufield has been invited to Team USA's Olympic orientation camp, another Canadiens star was not - defenseman Lane Hutson. This comes after the 21-year-old blueliner posted six goals, 60 assists, and 66 points in 82 games in 2024-25 and won the Calder Memorial Trophy.

Canadiens Big Forward Can't Be Ignored Canadiens Big Forward Can't Be Ignored After taking a nice step forward in the right direction this past season and getting back into the playoffs, the Montreal Canadiens will be looking to build off that in 2025-26. One of the players who the Canadiens will certainly be relying on this upcoming season is forward Josh Anderson.
