    Game Report

The Laval Rocket extended their win streak to three games with a 6-4 victory against the Belleville Senators on Wednesday at Place Bell.

Joel Armia slotted into the lineup for the first time since being assigned to the AHL by the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday. Riley McKay was scratched to make room. Nicolas Beaudin returned to action after sitting the last three contests.

The Senators took advantage of defensive errors to take a four-goal lead in the first period, including a goal scored on the power play and during a penalty kill. Brandon Gignac batted in his own rebound during an ensuing power play to put his team on the board before the first intermission.

Jean-Francois Houle sent Strauss Mann between the pipes to start the second period after Jakub Dobes allowed four goals on 14 shots through 20 minutes.

The ice tilted in the home team's favour in the final 40 minutes with defencemen Olivier Galipeau and William Trudeau closing the deficit to one with goals scored 21 seconds apart in the second period.

Sean Farrell brought the teams back to square one with a power play goal in the first minute of the third period by heading into the blue paint to pick up a loose puck.

Mitchell Stephens brought the 7,388 fans inside Place Bell to their feet with a wrap around goal and give Laval their first lead of the night.

Tobie Paquette-Bisson sealed the comeback win with the insurance goal on a three-on-one sequence.

Wednesday was the first time this season that the Rocket won after allowing the first goal and when trailing after the first period.

After the game, the players stated that there was a talk in the first intermission that began the momentum shift. In the final two periods, the Rocket outshot their opponents 32-16.
