Roman Josi and Filip Forsberg continue to leave their mark on the Nashville Predators.

The Nashville Predators finally got a win on the board in the 2024-25 season and it is partly due to the strong play of Roman Josi and Filip Forsberg. Together, they made history in the first win of the season.
Josi and Forsberg both factored in on the same goal by the Predators for the 166th time in their careers. It is the highest such total by a pair of teammates in team history. Beyond that, the duo accomplished something only three other pairs of teammates in NHL history were able to as well.
This mark by Josi and Forsberg have them sitting fourth in NHL history by a forward and defenseman combo where both players are born outside of North America. Josi is from Switzerland and Forsberg from Sweden.
Through six games, Josi has five assists and Forsberg has two goals and six points. These are the two most talented offensive players the Predators have. They combined for 179 points last season and are always dangerous with the puck.
Both these players play on Nashville's top power-play unit and each hold a franchise record. Josi has the most points in Predators history with 691 and Forsberg is second with 611. Josi has played 915 games and is in his 14th season. Forsberg has played 10 full seasons, 2024-25 being his 11th, and has appeared in 704 games.
While Josi holds the Predators' franchise record in points and single-season points (96), Forsberg recorded 94 points last season and has scored the most goals all-time for Nashville with 289. That race isn't particularly close.
Josi and Forsberg will continue to be the backbone of the offense of the Predators and the number of times they will both be in on a goal will keep on rising.
