Jonathan Marchessault is having an easy time fitting in with his new team, the Nashville Predators. In just two preseason games, he has scored three goals and recorded five points.

Marchessault didn't play in the team's first two preseason games of the year, but appeared in his first against the Tampa Bay Lightning, leading the Predators with one goal and two assists. He was one of six goal scorers for Nashville in the game that the team won 6-0 and the only player to record three points. He did this in less than 13:30 of ice time as well.

Forward Jonathan Marchessault speaks to the media on day one of Nashville Predators training camp at Ford Ice Center Bellevue.

The veteran winger followed that up by also playing in the team's fourth game against the Carolina Hurricanes, also resulting in a win. Marchessault scored two goals, leading the team once again. He was the only two goal scorer of the game and the Predators won 6-4.

Marchessault has recorded all of his points at even strength, converting chances playing alongside Steven Stamkos, Tommy Novak, Philip Tomasino, Luke Evangelista, and Colton Sissons.

While Marchessault is seen as an impressive free agent addition at a good price that will help the Predators be much better this season, he has come in swinging and is looking to repeat his career-best performance from last season. The 33-year-old is signed for five years at $5.5 million AAV and is looking like he will be worth it already.
