Zucker and Cousins had some unfinished business to attend to in the Predators/Panthers matchup.

It was just two and a half months ago when the incident with Jason Zucker and Nick Cousins occurred. At the time, Zucker was yet to be traded to the Nashville Predators and was still playing for the Arizona Coyotes.
As he has become known for, Cousins made a dirty play on one of Zucker's teammates when he was down, finishing his check into the head. This led to Zucker reacting and hitting Cousins from behind as revenge for the dirty play. Cousins ultimately didn't stand up for himself after the dirty play and this is why Zucker felt like he had to get back at him in that game.
Zucker's hit caused him to be suspended, but nothing happened to Cousins. Neither Zucker nor Cousins forgot about their exchange at the beginning of January and brought it into the game between the Predators and the Florida Panthers where the two fought just four minutes into the game.
This was a pretty even fight, but as a fan of the Predators, if you weren't aware of the past between these two, I don't know if it'll end with this fight. It is a good sign that there is another body in the lineup that is willing to play the game hard as the team is set to return to the playoffs. Zucker is a physical player and looks to be a good pickup for the Predators at the trade deadline this season.
