    The Nashville Predators signed Michael McCarron and Kiefer Sherwood to deals for the 2023-2024 season.

    The Nashville Predators signed Michael McCarron and Kiefer Sherwood to deals for the 2023-2024 season.

    The Nashville Predators announced today that they have signed Michael McCarron and Kiefer Sherwood to one year, $775,000 contracts for the 2023-2024 season. 

    McCarron played 32 games for the Predators this season and scored 2 goals and 2 assists. He briefly stepped away from hockey for personal reasons, but returned to play 16 games with the Milwaukee Admirals before being recalled to Nashville. The 28 year old Grosse Point, MI native was acquired via trade in January 2020 from Montreal.

    McCarron is best known for his physicality on the fourth line and for his performance on the Predators' penalty kill which ranked eighth best in the NHL this season. 

    Columbus, OH native Kiefer Sherwood also signed a one year, $775,000 deal today. The 28 year old winger played 32 games for the Predators and scored 7 goals and 8 assists including three goals in the last two games of the season. Sherwood impressed the coaching staff at training camp and earned a roster spot early in the season, but eventually went to Milwaukee where he played 42 games. In his time with the Admirals, Sherwood scored 22 goals and 16 assists before returning to Nashville as the team's injuries piled up.

    Sherwood was an undrafted free agent who signed with Anaheim and Colorado before signing with Nashville on July 14, 2022.
