Hockey action is heating up in Nashville as the Predators prepare for a very different looking 2023-24 season. This week the young Predators prospects gathered for rookie camp and then headed to Estero, Florida to participate in the 2023 Southeast Rookie Showcase.
First up, the Predators took on the Tampa Bay Lightning rookies.

Yaroslav Askarov had a very successful first season with the Milwaukee Admirals in 2022-23 helping the team make it all the way to the AHL Western Conference Finals. On ice success aside, it was not always an easy year for the Russian. The 21-year-old shared what he has learned in a season of big transitions.
With the Rookie Showcase wrapping up tomorrow, it is almost time for the Predators to kick off training camp later this week. With a new head coach, new free agent signings, and an emphasis on developing young talent, there are still plenty of questions about what the Preds roster may look like next season.
