This Devils forward is inching closer to another new career high.
During this past off-season, the New Jersey Devils signed Stefan Noesen to a three-year, $8.25 million contract. They already knew the 32-year-old winger well, as he previously was a Devil from 2016-17 to 2018-19.
So far, the decision to bring back Noesen has been an excellent one for New Jersey. He has already set a new career-high with 18 goals in 55 games and has plenty of time to record his first 20-goal campaign at the NHL level. However, he is also well on his way to setting another new career-high before the end of the season.
At this point of the season, Noesen currently has 31 points. With this, he needs only seven more before the season is over to reach the highest single-season point total of his career. The Devils have 25 games left on the season, so he stands a good shot of reaching if he stays healthy.
Overall, Noesen has provided the Devils with solid secondary scoring this season, and he has benefitted the Metropolitan Division club because of it. It will be fascinating to see if he can hit a new career high in points before the season is over from here.
