Alexander Holtz will make his 13th straight appearance. Both Holtz and Max Willman particpated in warmups, but it was the 21-year-old who took line rushes alongside Nathan Bastian and Chris Tierney and will play on the fourth line versus the Washington Capitals.

At today's morning skate, Holtz and Willman took turns taking line rushes on the fourth line. Afterward, head coach Lindy Ruff said that he "hasn't made a decision" as to whether Holtz or Willman would sit out of tonight's game.

Holtz has appeared in all 12 games and has collected five points (three goals, two assists). Willman was called up on Nov. 4, appeared in two games, and scored one goal.

This morning, Ruff was asked if the young Swede is giving the coaching staff what they are looking for.

"Alex has got three goals, and it is still a work in progress for him," Ruff said. We know what he brings. We know what everybody brings. He's got to continue to work at the game. I think when you look at the game as a whole, sometimes it's about scoring, sometimes it's about competing, and sometimes it's about backtracking. It's not (just) him, that's everybody in that group."

In his last five games, Holtz has one goal and one assist.
