It's official: New Jersey Devils forward Jack Hughes will play versus the New York Rangers on Saturday night.
The 22-year-old has been sidelined since the team's Nov. 1 game versus the St. Louis Blues when he crashed into the boards.
Hughes joined his team at practice on Friday afternoon, skating alongside Erik Haula and Curtis Lazar. Head coach Lindy Ruff kept the trio together and will use them as his first line against the Rangers.
Before his injury, Hughes led the league in points (20) and assists (15). Hughes has 15 points in 16 games versus the Rangers and has at least a point in his last five games against New York.
