Kaapo Kahkonen left Sunday's game against the Nashville Predators and was replaced by Jake Allen. Kahkonen stayed on the New Jersey Devils bench.

On a Roman Josi point goal, Kahkonen wasn't able to squeeze the puck and it trickled in behind him. During the play, Kahkonen was injured and forced to exit the game.

The Finnish goaltender played the first 8:39 of the game before leaving. He stopped four of the five shots he faced.

Allen entered the game in replacement of Kahkonen. Allen was in goal last night when the Devils beat the Ottawa Senators 4-3. Allen made 25 saves on the 28 shots he faced.

Despite missing the rest of the first period after the injury, Kahkonen rejoined the team for the second period but remained on the bench.
