The Devils will look to duplicate their performance from Thursday night and earn their first win since Jan. 5.

The Devils will play the Florida Panthers at Amerant Bank Arena on Saturday evening. The club is amid a three-game road trip and will search for their first win after suffering an overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

"I think we played a pretty solid game all the way through," Jesper Bratt said after his team's 4-3 overtime loss. "It sucks not to get those two put, but in our division (Metro), those one points are huge, too."

The Devils scored the game's opening goal but saw their lead evaporate as Tampa scored three unanswered goals. New Jersey clawed their way back but was unable to secure the win.

With all things considered, including their multiple injuries to key players, the Devils played well enough to earn two points.

"I thought we played a pretty honest game," Colin Miller said Saturday morning of their game versus Tampa. "We were good in the areas that we were trying to focus on, our line, their line, making sure we get pucks out. If we can do that again tonight, I think we'll be in a good spot."

Per Devils team reporter Sam Kasan, head coach Lindy Ruff will deploy the same forward lines and defensive pairs. The lone difference will be in the net, as Nico Daws is expected to start with Vitek Vanecek serving as his backup.

"If you look back, we'll for sure like that game. It was not our usual roster," Nate Bastian said after Thursday's game. "We had a lot of guys that stepped up tonight."

The Devils will look to stick with their structure and play a similar game tonight versus the hottest team in the league. The Panthers enter tonight's game on a nine-game winning streak and will need young goaltender Nico Daws to help steal a necessary win as the club looks to climb up the standings into a wild-card spot.
