    Preseason hockey has arrived. The New Jersey Devils hit the ice Monday morning for two-morning skate sessions. The group staying behind in New Jersey skated first at 10:15 A.M.; the second group followed before traveling to Montreal in the afternoon.

    The two rosters feature numerous NHL regulars and prospects looking to make a lasting impression.

    Devils vs. Flyers @ Prudential Center

    Last season, the Devils' record versus the Flyers was 2-2-0. Jack Hughes led all New Jersey Skaters with four points (three goals, one assist).

    Hockey fans venturing to Newark will see a lineup headlined by Nico Hischier, Timo Meier, and Jesper Bratt. They will also see 19-year-old winger Josh Filmon, who stood out at development camp in July.

    The organization confirmed that Ryan McGill and Chris Taylor will be behind the bench along with one of the organization's American Hockey League coaches.

    Last season, the Devils' record versus the Canadiens was 2-1-0. J. Hughes led all New Jersey Skaters with five points (two goals, three assists).

    Jack Hughes headlines the group that will travel to Montreal along with Tyler Toffoli, a member of the Canadiens from 2020 to 2022.
