Devils have an all-time record of 41-43-8-4 versus the Avalanche/Nordiques.

The New Jersey Devils will wrap up their four-game road trip when they visit the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday night at Ball Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 10:00 P.M. The Devils held an optional morning skate at 11:30 A.M.

The Avalanche are 3-0-0 at home this season. It is their best home start since the 2019-20 season when they went 4-0-0. The Devils are 4-1-0 away from Prudential Center, and last season, they tied a franchise record of 28 road wins.

Last season, the Devils earned a 2-0-0 record against the Avalanche. Per the media notes, it marked the first time since the 2017-18 campaign that the Devils swept the Avalanche in a season series. Jesper Bratt has collected 10 points (three goals, seven assists) over his previous seven games versus tonight's opponent. He has earned at least a point in every meeting versus Colorado, except for one.

The Avalanche are second in the Central Divison (7-3-0). They are coming off a 7-0 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, where Alexandar Georgiev made 27 saves on 34 shots. Mikko Rantanen leads the team with 14 points (six goals, eight assists). He recorded two four-point nights in October and has 13 points in 12 games versus New Jersey.

  • New Jersey's injury report includes Jack Hughes (shoulder), Nico Hischier (upper body), Tomas Nosek (lower body), and Colin Miller (lower body). Colorado's injury report includes Fredrik Olofsson (upper body).
  • Through 10 games, Ex-Devil Miles Wood has two points (one goal, one assist). He scored in his Avalanche debut on Oct. 11 versus the Los Angeles Kings. After he scored, the first player to skate over to him was Tomas Tatar, who was his teammate for the last two years in New Jersey.
  • Former Devils forward Tomas Tatar has collected four assists in nine games and is still waiting on his first goal as a member of the Avalanche. Throughout his career, he has faced New Jersey 23 times and has 11 points (five goals, six assists).
  • The only four-point night of Dawson Mercer's career was versus Colorado. On March 1, 2023, the Bay Roberts native scored one goal and added three assists in his team's 7-5 victory.
  • The Avalanche have allowed only three power-play goals in 40 shorthanded opportunities (92.5 percent), tied with the Dallas Stars for the second-best penalty kill in the NHL behind the Boston Bruins.
  • Per the media notes, McLeod has averaged 16:03 time on ice since Hischier departed the lineup with an upper-body injury (last played Oct. 27). Before Oct. 29, his average time on ice was 12:41.
