The New Jersey Devils will continue their four-game road trip when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday night at United Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. The Devils did not hold a morning skate, and head coach Lindy Ruff is expected to speak to attending media members at 5:00 P.M.
On Saturday evening, the team announced Max Willman was recalled from the Utica Comets and would join the team in Chicago. When the club left New Jersey on Nov. 1, they only carried one extra player, defenseman Cal Foote.
Last season, the Devils earned a 2-0-0 record against the Blackhawks. Timo Meier has collected 19 points (12 goals, seven assists) over his previous 17 games versus tonight's opponent. The only two teams he has earned more points against are the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings.
The Blackhawks are last in the Central Divison (4-6-0) and have won one of three games at home. They will be playing their second game of a back-to-back and are coming off a 5-2 victory versus the Florida Panthers. First-overall pick Connor Bedard has scored a goal in his last three games.
