New Jersey has an all-time record of 2-0-2 against Seattle.

The New Jersey Devils will face the Seattle Kraken on Thursday night at Climate Pledge Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 10:30 P.M. The Devils held a full morning skate at 11:30 A.M. local time.

Brendan Smith has finished his suspension for slashing Philadelphia Flyers forward Travis Konecny and is available to return to the lineup. While nothing has been confirmed, he was skating on the fourth line during the team's skate on Thursday afternoon.

Devils @ Kraken - Climate Pledge Arena

Last season, the Devils had a 1-0-1 record versus the Kraken. Erik Haula has three points in three games versus tonight's opponent. Nathan Bastian was Seattle's selection from New Jersey during the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft. He appeared in 12 games for the Kraken before being placed on waivers and claimed back by New Jersey.

The Kraken are fifth in the Pacific Division (8-12-6). They are coming off a 4-2 loss to the Montreal Canadiens. Jared McCann and Vince Dunn scored for Seattle, and goaltender Philipp Grubauer made 26 saves on 29 shots. Kailer Yamamoto has three points (two goals, one assist) in four games versus New Jersey.
