The New Jersey Devils will host the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night at Prudential Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. Head coach Lindy Ruff said both of his goaltenders are available for tonight's game. Vitek Vanecek was in the starters net during the team's morning skate. Nico Daws remains with the team and was on the ice with Vanecek and Akira Schmid Tuesday morning.
Per the Flyers website, the club did not hold a morning skate. Head coach John Tortorella will meet with the press at roughly 5 P.M. and is expected to announce his starting goalie at that time.
The Devils have a 1-0-0 record versus the Flyers this season. New Jersey defeated Philadelphia on Nov. 30, 4-3 in overtime. Luke Hughes scored the game-winning goal. His older brother Jack enters tonight's game with points in his last four appearances versus tonight's opponent with four goals and three assists.
The Flyers are second in the Metropolitan Division (17-10-3). They are coming off a 1-0 victory over the Detroit Red Wings. Netminder Samuel Ersson made 33 saves and helped his team extend their point streak to eight games. Cam York scored Philadelphia's lone goal.
