

The New Jersey Devils will host the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday night at Prudential Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. Head coach Lindy Ruff confirmed that Nathan Bastian, who took a maintenance day yesterday, is a game-time decision.
"(We) don't know yet," Ruff said. "We will find out after he is treated."
Bastian was among the few players who participated in the team's optional morning skate at 10:30 A.M.
The Devils have a 1-1-0 record versus the Red Wings this season. In their last meeting, Detroit earned a 4-0 victory, ending the Devils' 101 consecutive games streak without suffering a shutout. Michael McLeod enters tonight's game on a three-game point streak (two goals, two assists).
Tonight's opponent is fifth in the Atlantic Division (16-13-4). They are coming off a 7-6 win over the Philadelphia Flyers. Tonight's game is the second of a back-to-back set. The Red Wings are 3-6-1 in their last ten games. Dylan Larkin has 25 points in 21 games versus the Devils and has earned at least a point in his previous seven meetings with New Jersey dating back to Feb. 25, 2020.
