Vanecek stopped 32 of 34 shots against Chicago to secure a 4-2 victory.

For those who have already begun compiling "save of the year" candidates, New Jersey Devils goaltender Vitek Vanecek would like to add a submission.

On Nov. 5, Vanecek led his team onto the ice at the United Center to face the Chicago Blackhawks. It marked the 27-year-old's seventh start of the 2023-24 season and third career start versus the Original Six club.

With 1:15 left in the opening frame, it looked like Blackhawks' forward Tyler Johnson had a sure goal, that is, until Vanecek made an unbelievable diving desperation save.

New Jersey earned a 4-2 victory over Chicago, improving their record to 7-3-1.
