Erik Haula and Tomas Tatar will be in the New Jersey Devils lineup tonight against the Seattle Kraken.

The New Jersey Devils will host the Seattle Kraken at Prudential Center on Friday night. This will be the first meeting between the two clubs this season.

The club held an optional morning skate in Newark with the following participants: Nathan Bastian, Jesper Bratt, Justin Dowling, Jack Hughes, Nathan Légaré, Tomas Tatar, Nick DeSimone, Kurtis MacDermid, and Jake Allen.

Head coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed forwards Tomas Tatar and Erik Haula will be in the lineup, and Jacob Markstom will start in net.

Tatar sustained a lower-body injury against the Detroit Red Wings and missed his club's last two games against the Washington Capitals and New York Rangers.

"I feel great," Tatar said after the morning skate. "Everything is fine now. I am happy to be back and help the team."

Haula has not missed a game this season but was absent from Tuesday's team practice.

At the time, Keefe said, "He is getting evaluated today. We will have more information on him in the next day or so. To the extent of it, we are not expecting it to be anything too serious. He may very well be back in the next practice. We just have to see how things settle. We don't play until Friday, so it's a chance to use this time to get him looked at."

Tatar and Haula participated in Thursday's practice and skated on the same line as Dawson Mercer. Paul Cotter was on a line with Justin Dowling and Nathan Légaré.

New Jersey's projected lineup against Seattle is below:

Ondrej Palat - Jack Hughes - Jesper Bratt

Timo Meier - Nico Hischier - Stefan Noesen

Tomas Tatar - Erik Haula - Dawson Mercer

Paul Cotter - Justin Dowling - Nathan Légaré

    Brenden Dillon - Dougie Hamilton

    Jonas Siegenthaler - Johnathan Kovacevic

    Luke Hughes - Brett Pesce

    Jacob Markstrom
