The New Jersey Devils will face the New York Islanders at 5:00 P.M. EST on Sunday evening.

The New Jersey Devils will face the New York Islanders at UBS Arena on Sunday evening to start a three-game road trip. Puck drop is scheduled for 5:00 P.M. The Devils did not hold a morning skate, and interim head coach Travis Green met with the media at 2:45 P.M.

  • The organization announced that it had assigned defenseman Tyler Wotherspoon to the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League (AHL) and recalled goaltender Isaac Poulter.
  • During his pre-game media availability, Green confirmed Kaapo Kahkonen would start in goal. The goaltender has a has a 3-1-0 record in 4 games with a goals against average of 3.21 and a save percentage of .904 versus the Islanders in his career. Poulter will serve as the backup goaltender, giving Jake Allen the evening off. 
  • Alexander Holtz is set to play in his 100th career NHL game. 
  • Jack Hughes is set to play in his 300th career NHL game.
