    The New Jersey Devils will host the New York Rangers at Prudential Center on Thursday night. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 P.M. It is the second of four meetings between the two teams this season. The Devils did not hold a morning skate. Head coach Lindy Ruff will meet with the media at 5:00 P.M.

    John Marino was absent from Wednesday's practice and is still dealing with an illness.

    "He's still sick," Ruff said. "We'll evaluate later today and see where he's at (on Thursday)."

    Devils vs Rangers - Prudential Center

    The Devils have a 0-1-0 record against the Rangers this season. In their previous meeting, New York defeated New Jersey 5-3. Erik Haula, Jack Hughes, and Ondrej Palat scored, while Vitek Vanecek was in the net. Hughes has earned at least a point in his last six games against tonight's opponent.

    The Rangers are first in the Metropolitan Division (37-16-3). They are coming off a 3-1 victory over the Dallas Stars. Adam Fox, Kaapo Kakko, and Vincent Trocheck found the back of the net, and goaltender Igor Shesterkin made 41 saves.
