New Jersey Devils forward Curtis Lazar was injured in the second period against the Anaheim Ducks.

NEWARK, N.J. -- The New Jersey Devils lost a forward in their 6-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday night.
Early in the second period, Curtis Lazar was hit by Anaheim captain Radko Gudas. A trainer helped the forward off the ice and down the tunnel. The 29-year-old did not put weight on his left leg or return to the game.
"He is going to miss some time," head coach Sheldon Keefe said of Lazar. "He will be evaluated tomorrow."
As of Sunday night, there is no timetable.
Lazar played 4:40 against the Ducks. He was credited with one blocked shot, two hits, one shot on goal, and a faceoff win percentage of 66.7% (4/6).
New Jersey will travel to Vancouver to begin their Western Canada road trip on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
