It is official, New Jersey Devils forward Jesper Bratt will be in the lineup Saturday night against Washington Capitals.
The 26-year-old missed the team's morning skate.
"He's dealing with an illness," Keefe said to reporters. "He was in the building this morning and in our meeting, but we felt we wouldn't put him on the ice this morning, and we will make a decision after warm-up."
Adam Beckman skated in Bratt's spot alongside Jack Hughes and Paul Cotter during line rushes in the morning.
The Swede last missed a game during the 2021-22 campaign and has appeared in 171 consecutive games.
To start the season, the winger has six points (one goal, five assists) in seven games. He saw his five-game point streak come to an end against the Ottawa Senators on Oct. 17.
The Devils will use the following lineup against the Capitals:
Timo Meier - Nico Hischier - Dawson Mercer
Paul Cotter - Jack Hughes - Jesper Bratt
Tomas Tatar - Erik Haula -Noesen
Ondrej Palat - Curtis Lazar - Nathan Bastian
Brenden Dillon - Dougie Hamilton
Jonas Siegenthaler - Johnathan Kovacevic
Seamus Casey - Simon Nemec
