EDINA, M.N. -- This summer, New Jersey Devils forward Erik Haula will participate in Da Beauty League.

Established in 2015, the Da Beauty League features NHL players along with players from other leagues in four-man games consisting of two 23-minute halves. The league runs from July 10 to Aug. 28.

This year there will be four captains: Brock Nelson (New York Islanders), Nate Schmidt (Florida Panthers), Vinni Lettieri (Boston Bruins), and Derek Forbort (Vancouver Canucks). Haula will play on Schmidt's team.

He joins Brady Skjei, Noah Cates, Jackson Cate, Justin Holl, Jason Zucker, Anders Lee, Nick Leddy, Curtis McKenzie, Nick Perbix, Kyle Rau, and Ryan Poehling.

As the league announced, this is not the roster for the tournament's first night.

Haula's NHL career began with the Wild in the 2013-14 season, and he still spends parts of his summer in Minnesota. He spent four seasons there before being selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2017 Expansion Draft.

The Pori, Finland native is coming off a season with the Devils, where he earned 35 points (16 goals, 19 assists) in 76 games.

The first game is scheduled for Wednesday night at 6:00 P.M. EST. Fans can stream the game here.
