Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe takes part in a Q&A with fans
Newly hired head coach Sheldon Keefe recently sat down with New Jersey Devils' play-by-play voice Matt Loughlin to answer some questions from the fans.
Keefe, who is the former head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs, took some time to reflect on his time there.
Now, Keefe will have the opportunity to coach in a devoted market like New Jersey without the heavy media presence.
This can make things a bit easier on a coach and the players. However, after the additions that the club made this off-season, the pressure is still going to be high.
Given his experience with the Maple Leafs and their young core, Keefe should be able to learn from that and make it a bit easier on his young players.
Keefe and the Devils will start the season in Prague, Czechia, as part of the 2024 Global Series against the Buffalo Sabres. After that, they will return home and take on the Maple Leafs on Oct. 10 at home.
