New Jersey Devils winger Nolan Foote returned to practice today after sustaining an injury.
Foote had been activated off of the IR on Mar. 11 and participated in AHL conditioning stint games before Interim HC Travis Green announced he was injured again.
The 23-year-old suffered an injury during preseason which has unfortunately forced him to not dress in a single game for the Devils this season.
Foote has played in 19 NHL games in his career scoring five goals and seven points.
The 6’3 forward can shoot the puck. Last year with the Utica Comets in the AHL he scored 20 goals in 55 games. His size and strength could be a valued asset in the Devils lineup.
With six games remaining it would be great for Foote to get into the lineup at some point and play some games considering he’s missed nearly the entire season.
The Devils chances of sneaking into the playoffs are almost impossible at this stage and the team could benefit of allowing their young players to get ice time and experience.
