This is tough news for the Devils.

New Jersey Has A Deep Offense

The New Jersey Devils have announced that Jacob Markstrom will be out for the next four to six weeks due to an MCL sprain. With this, he will miss the rest of New Jersey's games before the 4 Nations Face-Off begins.

Markstrom suffered his injury during the Devils' Jan. 22 contest against the Boston Bruins. This was after Bruins forward Justin Brazeau crashed into the Devils' star goaltender.

This is rough news for the Devils, as Markstrom is the club's top goaltender and has been a major reason for their big turnaround this season. In 36 games this season, he has a 21-9-5 record, a .912 save percentage, and a 2.20 goals-against average. However, on the bright side, at least the veteran should be back before the playoffs.
