Jesper Bratt, Cody Glass, and Anthony Mantha were absent from the New Jersey Devils' Monday afternoon practice.

Following the on-ice session, head coach Sheldon Keefe provided the following updates.

"Mantha is sick today," he said. "We will have to see where he is at tomorrow, and we won't know that until that time. Glass is dealing with something that additional time off the ice is helpful for, but he is expected to be available for tomorrow's game. Bratt is similar, just dealing with something that's been nagging him. He is trying to manage what he does in practice. He did skate today, just beforehand on his own."

Bratt has been a key contributor early in the season, recording seven points (two goals and five assists) through the team's first eight games. His point total ranks second on the team behind linemate Jack Hughes.

Glass has provided a steady presence in the faceoff circle, winning 58.6% of his draws through the first eight games. His success rate trails only Nico Hischier.

Mantha, meanwhile, recently scored his first goal as a Devil against the Detroit Red Wings. The newcomer has recorded two points so far this season.

Reinforcements are on the way for the Devils as Luke Evangelista (illness) is expected to return to the lineup against the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday.

New Jersey (4-4-0) will begin a three-game homestand at Prudential Center, hosting the Avalanche, Anaheim Ducks, and Los Angeles Kings.
