The New Jersey Devils sign Hardman to a two-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 at the NHL level and $350,000 at the American Hockey League (AHL) level each season.
NEWARK, N.J. -- On the first day of free agency, New Jersey Devils President/General Manager Tom Fitzgerald and Devils’ Assistant General Manager/Utica Comets General Manager Dan MacKinnon announced they signed forward Mike Hardman to a two-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 at the NHL level and $350,000 at the American Hockey League (AHL) level each season.
The Hanover, Massachusetts, native has appeared in 164 AHL games and 37 NHL games. At 25 years old, Hardman spent the 2023-24 season with the Rockford IceHogs (AHL). In 63 games, he tallied 37 points (22 goals, 15 assists).
His last NHL was on March 28, 2023, with the Chicago Blackhawks.
Per the press release, "Hardman has Calder Cup Playoff experience after appearing in three consecutive postseasons (2022, 2023 & 2024). He totaled four points (2g-2a) in four games during the 2024 Calder Cup Playoffs while recording one power-play and game-winning goal."
