The New Jersey Devils have no long-term concerns for the muscular injury that captain Nico Hischier sustained during the first period of Team Switzerland's game against Germany in the IIHF Men's World Championship Tournament.

On Thursday, "RSI" reported that the 26-year-old was seen slightly limping as he left the stands. Team Switzerland's head coach, Patrick Fischer, said they would evaluate Hischier's condition Friday morning.
It was later confirmed that Hischier is out for the remainder of the tournament.
A Devils representative told The Hockey News this is precautionary.
The Naters native is the captain of Team Switzerland for the IIHF Men's World Championship. He is joined by Devils teammates Jonas Siegenthaler and Timo Meier.
Hischier finished the tournament with three points (two goals, one assist) through four games.
