After signing an PTO with his hometown New York Islanders, Keith Kinkaid has been released from his PTO and has signed with the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL.
Kinkaid, 35, spent time with the New Jersey Devils, Montreal Canadiens, New York Rangers, Boston Bruins, and Colorado Avalanche.
In 169 career games at the NHL level, Kinkaid has a 70-58-21 record, a 2.91 GAA, and a .905 SV%.
Unfortunately, he was unable to crack the Islanders roster and will be in the AHL for the time being.
There is still a chance that Kinkaid can find his way back to the NHL if an NHL team signs him to an NHL-level deal.
